What should happen is an unboxing from Integer to int, and th

Hex always have two characters. Try this

False. For instance, a and b are both nan, in which case a < b, a
> b, a == b are all false.
Because integers and floating point numbers are represented
differently. When you cast a float to int (e.g, 1.0f to 1), their
memory are not the same.

Actually int() function expects an integer string or a float, but not
a float string. If a float string is given you need to convert it to
float first then to int as:

Converting JSON object to String will escape the forward slash. That
is why the back slash is added in your result.
If you convert the string back to JSON object and logged the object,
you can see the result as expected. Thus you can verify, there is
nothing wrong with the string.
