Solution was a combination of the steps here (most notably the "add to
build path" bits) and getting the appcompat library from the earlier
project, not from the SDK, which (for some reason I don't understand)
Working now anyway.
First Open SDK Manager and make sure that "Android Support Library"
under "Extras" is installed there.
inside your work space remove "appcompat_v7" from eclipse and also its
File|Import|Android(Existing Android Code into Workspace) then Hit
Choose Root directory as
"ADT_BUNDLE_INSTALLED_DIRECTORYsdkextrasandroidsupportv7" then under
projects check "appcompat" then hit
I see you have two different provider dependencies jersey-media-moxy
and jersey-media-json-jackson. I've always had a problem with Maps
with MOXy. I guess they don't play well. Seems you will need to use an
adapter to make it play nice, as seen here from Blaise Doughan.
That being said, I requested (in the comments above) to see your
Server side configuration, as MOXy will auto configure itself,
