How to check if any check box is checked in a table using jQuery?

Try with :checked selector:

$('#mainFormId\:tableId
tr').find(':checked').each(...);

Or since you're using children() try with (this only search with the DOM element childs):

$('#mainFormId\:tableId
tr').children(':checked').each(...);

Check if specific set of checkboxes are checked
you can create a set first and then check if the count of elements is the same as the count of the checked elements var group = $('#option1,#option2,#option3'); if (group.length === group.filter(':checked').length){ // all are checked so you can do something.. }

SQL constraint to check another table column

By adding: UNIQUE (attr1, attr2) inside table1 we are creating a unique key, but since the primary is just attr1, there is no way that there would be duplicates of the same tuple with different attr2s.
