Unable to Mock behavior using Mockito for testing Struts2 action class method
I had similar issue but my case was bit different as I was using setter Injector through spring framework and my action class already had setter method for Dao. I had to get the action from proxy and Inject mocked Dao object into my action. I did following before executing proxy : WelcomeUser actionObj = (WelcomeUser) proxy.getAction(); actionObj.setDaoObj(appDAOObj); you have to figure out a

How to write test to handle custom exceptions in clojure

how to prevent progressing from a unit test that uses expectAsync in dart?
We need to see your code to be able to pinpoint the exact problem. Most likely you are not calling expectAsync enough. At any time your code is waiting for an asynchronous callback, there must be at least one outstanding expectAsync function waiting to be called. You can cut it all down to one expectAsync call by creating a "done" function that you call whenever your test is completed: test(

varying output while testing function with urllib.parse.urlencode
You're calling urllib.parse.urlencode(uri_parameters_list) with a dictionary uri_parameters_list and the order of a dictionary isn't determined. It can vary from one Python run to the next as the elements aren't ordered (well, they are internally but that order can vary). So you'll need to order the dictionary prior to passing it to urllib.parse.urlencode. It's better to use a collections.Ordered

Unit test filter with a mocked service
I finally found a workaround to make it work going with the second approach (using defineBeans). The service is not being autowired into the filter so I finally did it manually with a pseudo-singleton: class LicenseFilters { def licenseService def filters = { all(controller:'*', action:'*') { before = { if(!this.licenseService){ t

should we create object of any class on class level or function level
I think it depends on what you are trying to test. If you're testing the effects of a sequence of functions being executed on the same class instance then you might want to create a single instance (such as stress testing) But otherwise I'd say it's always better to create a new instance of the class in each test function to ensure that the context of each test is predictable. If your test metho

Display test coverage using jacoco in gradle
At the moment this is not supported by the gradle jacoco plugin. You can vote for this issue at https://issues.gradle.org/browse/GRADLE-2783 and https://issues.gradle.org/browse/GRADLE-2854. As a workaround you could possibly parse the output file in a custom task.

PHPUnit Test child class conforms to an interface
You are overlooking a pattern. It would be the Strategy Pattern. The protected methods of the child objects should be refactored into their own object with the protected method as a public method. You would then be able to test that these public methods return the correct thing. Your tests for the base class would only need to change to have the mock object passed in. If your child classes ar

Functional tests using PHPUnit
I have achieved success in writing PHP functional tests using Guzzle. It allows you to perform HTTP requests like this: $client = new GuzzleHttpClient(); $response = $client->get('http://guzzlephp.org'); And the $client will maintain the PHPSESSIONID across requests, allowing you to perform authenticated requests by logging in and then performing requests with the same client.

KarmaJS, Jasmine, RequireJS, etc: How to Use Require for Testing Modules
OK, I will try to address each question at a time: Question 1 what does { pattern: '...', included: true|false } do? Karma's default behavior is to: find all files matching the pattern (mandatory property) watch them for changes (watched option) in order to restart your unit tests to give you live result when you are editing your code (works if only you leave the default autoWatch d

Show that a method is under unit test
You can know if a unit test is calling the method by clicking the Find Usages contextual menu item when pointing the method name. If it is a nested call, you have no choice but to enable Code Coverage to see if your method is called by tests.

Swift Unit test: HotSwap an CLLocationManager Object
Rather than go to the trouble of mocking a complicated system API, why not just use the location services simulation mechanisms built into Xcode? Just go to Product > Debug > Simulate Location and set the location as necessary there.

Forcing nunit console runner to use CLR 4.5
After taking a look more deeply at the issue, here's the information I gathered from different forums. First, it should detect the runtime automatically. If it doesn't (which seems to be your case), you can always force the framework using the proper runtime by using the /framework command option. What you have in the nunit-console.exe.config forces the NUnit runner to use the specified runtime.

How can I run xUnit Unit Tests with VS2015 Preview?
Regarding managing / running the tests through test explorer, it is available through nuget. I had to install package xunit.runner.visualstudio version 0.99.9-build1021 in the test projects. After building the solution, the tests showed up fine and I was able to run them. BTW, this was for a windows service but should work for ASP.NET/Web projects.

How can I repackage my automated testing EXE as a series of unit tests in MSTest?
I got this to work - sort of - by using a data-driven test using the DataSource attribute and specifying a CSV data source. I created the CSV data source as a post-build step so that it contained the dynamic data I needed. Yuk! However, I then abandoned MSTest altogether, and used Xunit. This is so much nicer, because it supports not only parameterized tests and tests whose test data are provided

How to write effective unit tests when class has external dependencies?
This is a very common situation that most developers falls into. The questions how to make the code testable. Rule of thumb "If you don't have any security concerns, do not afraid to change design so your routines are testable." This is actually a very good thing, because you SUT (System Under Test) API is appealing to its clients and easier to make changes and extend. In you case leave your Inte

Selectively Run Mocha Tests In Browser
When using both requirejs and mocha: Mocha will run whatever tests have been loaded by requirejs in the context. The trick is to use require.undef() to get remove the tests from the context each time after the tests are run. Once this has been done, you'll have a clean slate to run whichever tests you want the next time. start: function(tests) { $('#mocha').html(''); re
